The Spectrum is a queer-feminist, intersectional collective and transdisciplinary hackspace. Our focus lies on FLINTA+ individuals and other marginalized communities - allies are also welcome to join. Unlike other places, we specifically want to center the needs of beings who are often overlooked. Awareness and inclusion are therefore central topics for us.
For us hacking is much more than dealing with code, computers, and technology: It’s more about a playful approach to things and ideas. We love to take things (and ideas) apart to see how they work, and then find new, often unexpected ways to use (or even improve) them. Sharing knowledge is also central to us: we stand for open access to knowledge and are always ready to share with others.
From art, music, hacking, activism, awareness, and more, we want to create a vibrant, transdisciplinary space. As an open, informal venue, our hackspace actively fosters collaboration and exchange, inviting individuals to share ideas, express creativity, and get to know new beings. It’s also important to us that you can be yourself here, free from societal expectations of “normal.”
